About us

At IRCNZ, we do research, development and evaluation work and projects with a wide range of people and organisations; we help them to clarify and elaborate  change and development  ideas and possibilities for sustainable futures; we help convert these ideas and possibilities into action plans; and help make change happen:
  • In communities;
  • In health care and educational institutions; and in
  • Government and quasi-Government agencies responsible for development in environment, community and youth well-being.
As we see it, teamwork, collaboration, collegiality, and partnership, are essential to build solutions that work, review them from time to time, and sustain them long term.

At project completion, we value most, organisations saying that:

“Now, we’re well placed to develop and grow on our own”.
Our mission  is to support, foster, and promote sustainable futures in all organisational initiatives, projects, and activities.

At IRCNZ sustainability means development “that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
(Our Common Future, World Commission on Environment and Development 1987)
